About The Opportunity

The Sales Development position will cover all three clinical territories and be responsible for new business within the academic and clinical space. This is a commissioned position and will require travel.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an ambitious individual to take on a challenging role serving clinical sales market. This individual will report directly to the VP of Sales and will be crucial in driving new business within our clinical sales team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Communicating the value proposition of Genomenon’s products, services, and technologies to current and prospective clinical customers.
  • Working directly with territory managers to develop their pipeline and drive business within multiple territories.
  • Ensure sales and delivery of implementation and development services to increase clinical product adoption and aid in customer’s success.
  • Working with multiple internal departments to sell product offerings and communicate customer needs.
  • Support US sales representatives achieve sales quota mostly from home.
  • Travel is estimated at 15-25% but is not limited to such.
  • Independently work with a set of assigned sales prospects and live opportunities, qualify, generate proposals, negotiate and close specific business agreements.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and propose the most suited product/solution that adds value to customers research/services.
  • Consistently work with field sales team across territories and channel qualified sales opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies and follow standard lead outreach protocols to qualify leads.
  • Engage in daily outbound calls to prospective leads.
  • Work well with a team as well as individually to achieve goals and quarterly quotas.
  • Stay up-to-date on new product releases and relay information to potential and existing customers.

Required Skills And Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences required (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience in bioinformatics & NGS solution sales to clinical labs, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies
  • Proven success in consistent sales quota achievement
  • Demonstrated track record in overachieving objectives
  • Experience driving and tracking sales and metrics through a CRM system
  • Team motivator with strong work ethic and a “can-do” positive attitude
  • Desire to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial team
