Dr. Guizhi (Julian) Zhu Research Group at University of Michigan Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biointerfaces Institute is recruiting a Research Laboratory Specialist. You will contribute to the design, execution, data analysis, interpretation and summarize experiment results, mostly related to the design and preparation (synthesis and purification) of oligonucleotides and phosphoramidiates.
With the overarching goal to develop novel and clinically translatable immunotherapeutics and vaccines, Zhu Lab’s research interest lies at the interface of RNA/DNA/protein chemistry and engineering, immunology, and applied chemistry and biomaterials. Our current focus is to develop nucleic acid immunotherapeutics/vaccines and their delivery systems, for the prophylaxis and immunotherapy of cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders. We have published >100 papers including research articles in Science Advances, Nature Communications, and PNAS. Our research has been supported by external funding from National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Defense (DoD), American Cancer Society (ACS), among others.
